Writing Without Inspiration
The Academic Life Newsletter from Christina Gessler, Ph.D.
Whether you are trying to do AcWriMo or NaNoWriMo or neither one, November often feels like a month spent rushing up a very steep hill.
We see how little is left in the calendar year.
We see how much is left on our to-do lists.
And we can’t figure out how we are going to do it all.
Writing goals seldom conform nicely to a calendar, no matter how hard you try to make them do so. Whether you are under a deadline with your publisher, your professor, or yourself, it can help to talk with a writing coach about creating a schedule and using techniques that work for you.
If would like to schedule a session with me, please reach out.
We can work through whatever has been holding you back: writing blocks, confusing directions, hidden curriculum, bloated word-counts, imposter syndrome, drafts in need of fresh eyes, fuzzy timelines, burnout. Whew, it’s a lot to try to figure out alone.
I’m here to help you get across your finish line.
And, friends, remember to go outside and look for one beautiful thing.
